Kontribusi Pendidikan Agama Islam dalam Pembentukan Karakter dan Moralitas Peserta Didik: Studi Kepustakaan

Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) memiliki peran penting dalam membentuk karakter peserta didik dan memperkuat landasan spiritual sesuai dengan nilai-nilai Islam. Dalam era perubahan sosial dan perkembangan teknologi yang pesat, pembentukan karakter menjadi bagian penting dalam sistem pendidikan modern. Oleh karena itu, pendidikan agama Islam diharapkan mampu berkontribusi dalam membentuk individu yang bertanggung jawab secara moral serta memiliki identitas keagamaan yang kuat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi pustaka (library research) untuk mengkaji secara konseptual peran Pendidikan Agama Islam dalam pembentukan karakter Islami pada peserta didik. Data diperoleh melalui penelaahan berbagai sumber literatur ilmiah yang relevan, seperti buku dan artikel jurnal, guna memahami proses, strategi, dan tantangan dalam pembentukan karakter melalui pendidikan agama. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa Pendidikan Agama Islam berkontribusi dalam pembentukan karakter melalui internalisasi nilai-nilai moral, pembiasaan perilaku positif, serta penguatan kesadaran spiritual. Keberhasilan pembentukan karakter dipengaruhi oleh faktor internal dan eksternal, termasuk keluarga, sekolah, dan lingkungan sosial. Sinergi antara ketiga unsur tersebut menjadi kunci dalam mewujudkan pendidikan karakter yang berkelanjutan
