Social Media as a Catalyst for Digital Innovation in Community Microenterprises

Digital transformation has driven significant changes in micro-enterprise management patterns. Social media has become a key instrument of innovation for digital communities in expanding markets, increasing competitiveness, and strengthening the sustainability of micro-enterprises. This study uses a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques in this study include: 1) Observation, 2) Interviews, and 3) Documentation. Furthermore, to analyze the data, which has several parts, including: 1) Collecting data, 2) Simplifying sorting, 3) Compiling, and 4) Summarizing. In correcting the validity of the data, researchers used diligent observation, triangulation, and extended participation. The results and discussions of the research include: 1) The development of information technology allows micro-enterprises to utilize social media platforms as a means of promotion, communication, and business transactions at a relatively low cost but with broad impact. Social media such as WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and Shopee not only function as a medium for social interaction but also as an effective digital marketing tool for micro-enterprises. 2) Innovation in the digital community has a significant impact on various aspects of social and economic life. The development of digital technology is driving changes in interaction patterns, work methods, and increasingly technology-based business models.
