Author Guidelines

Jurnal Pendidikan Islam Al Ikhlas welcomes scholarly manuscripts that are relevant to the journal's aims and scope, including original research articles, literature reviews, case studies, and conceptual papers in the field of Islamic Education. All submitted manuscripts must comply with the following guidelines.

1. General Requirements

  • The submitted manuscript must be an original scholarly work that has not been previously published and is not under consideration for publication in any other journal or publication outlet.
  • Manuscripts must be written in either Indonesian or English, using clear, accurate, and academically appropriate language.
  • The manuscript must fall within the aims and scope of Jurnal Pendidikan Islam Al Ikhlas.
  • Authors are required to prepare their manuscripts using the official journal template.
  • All submitted manuscripts will undergo an initial editorial screening, similarity checking, and a double-blind peer-review process.
  • The maximum acceptable similarity index is 25% (excluding the reference list and properly cited quotations). Manuscripts exceeding this threshold will be returned to the authors for revision or rejected.
  • Authors are fully responsible for the content of their manuscripts, including the originality of the work, the accuracy of the data and citations, and compliance with publication ethics.

2. Manuscript Format

  • Manuscripts must be prepared using Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx).
  • Use Book Antiqua, 12-point font, with single line spacing.
  • Paper size must be A4, with 2.5 cm margins on all sides.
  • Manuscripts should contain 4,000–8,000 words (excluding references) or a maximum of 10 pages, following the journal template.
  • The article title must be provided in both Indonesian and English, consisting of no more than 15 words, and should be concise, informative, and representative of the manuscript.
  • Authors' names should be written without academic titles, followed by their institutional affiliations, ORCID iD (if available), and the corresponding author's email address.
  • Abstracts must be written in both Indonesian and English, consisting of 150–250 words, and should include the research objectives, methodology, principal findings, and a brief conclusion.
  • Provide 3–5 relevant keywords, arranged alphabetically.

4. Citation and References

  • All citations and references must follow the latest edition of the APA Style.
  • Authors are encouraged to use reference management software such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote.
  • Every reference cited in the manuscript must appear in the reference list, and every reference listed must be cited within the manuscript.
  • Authors are encouraged to use relevant and up-to-date primary references, particularly articles published in scholarly journals.

5. Manuscript Submission

  • Manuscripts must be submitted through the Open Journal Systems (OJS) available on the official website of Jurnal Pendidikan Islam Al Ikhlas.
  • Authors must register and create an account in the OJS before submitting a manuscript.
  • All article metadata, including the title, abstract, keywords, author information, and references, must be completed accurately during the submission process.
  • Manuscripts that do not comply with the journal template or author guidelines may be returned to the authors before entering the peer-review process.
  • Authors are expected to actively monitor the progress of their manuscript throughout every stage of the editorial and peer-review process via their OJS account and the corresponding author's registered email.
